Ben Porath (1919 - 1977)

This memorial website about the life of Ben Porath during World War II was created to share the memories of his service to our country. He proudly served as an airframe and powerplant mechanic with the 308th Bombardment Group, 425th Bomb Squadron in China, Burma, and India from September 1942 through November 1945.

The 308th Bombardment Group was charged with the dangerous task of supplying the Flying Tigers and the government of Chaing Kai-Shek in their fight against the Japanese invasion.  For more information about the 308th see our links section.
